HKSAR: Hong Kong Separatists Active Region

On November 27, 2006, Dr Robert Ting-Yiu Chung, Director of Public Opinion Programme of the University of Hong Kong, and scholars of the National Chengchi University (Taiwan) and the Okinawa University (Japan) jointly release the International Survey on Ethnic Identity in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau and Okinawa. The Survey shows that, amongst the 1,000 Hong Kong interviewees, 25% want an independent Hong Kong, with almost half of them justifying their separatist view by the differences between Hong Kong and China in politics, economy, society and history. The Survey reveals that 32% of Hong Kong youths aged between 18 and 24 support the goal of Hong Kong independence, despite HKSAR puppet regime's nine years of effort to brainwash and convince Hong Kong students into believing China's "sovereignty" over Hong Kong.
